Abu Garcia Revo SX question?
I just received my Abu Garcia Revo SX-HS (left hand) from ebay. My question is that the picture on the auction or the Revo had the red and black color theme as well as the curved (swept back) handle but the one I received is only mostly black with some gray and the handle is straight. I double checked the auction and it does say "Abu Garcia Revo SX-L HS" and the box on this one I have says the same thing. Did I get the right one? I kinda liked the red/black color scheme as well as the curved handle. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.
On the reel itself it says "Revo SX" and "11 bearings". It's not the color that worries me, it's the handle. I can live with the color but with the straight handle I have vs. the curved in the ebay pic makes me thing I got the wrong one.

Did you contact eBay seller before contacting yahoo answer?
I would've liked an URL ( link) of the advertised reel you said you got, in most cases the reel was an older new. Older new will, or should be advertised as such.
There are a couple of avenues that you can take concerning this issue.
1. Contact the seller.
2. Look closely at the advertising to rule out there is no information it's an older model.
3. Make sure the reel is not a foreign model in that case the style varies.
4. In general, eBay sellers will mention that the photo is just for advertising. In that case ask, ask questions.
The Revo SX-L HS in the color you received and style handle is an older model.
Also would like to know did you put any question toward the reel with the seller at any time?
What type of feedback if any have you given the seller? These are all very important areas.
I would contact the seller and explain the problem you have as, explained in yahoo answer, and see what type of response they give you. If you used PayPal you have an excellent chance to recover your money or get an even exchange. If a credit card was used you may contact the credit card, but only and after the seller refuses any communication and you are sure the seller didn't advice you it was an older new model.
There are times when the seller just made an honest mistake and used the best photo shot they had, or they are selling more then one and got photos confused. It should be noted whenever you buy from someone you don't know ask all possible questions.
