fishing line for baitcasting reel?
hey, i just got a Pinnacle Solene bait caster from walmart. it was 50 bucks so i figured i should get one.
neways.
i was wondering what brand and type (mono, braided, etc.) of line i should get. i would be fishing for bass in nearby lakes in eau claire. most of the lakes dont have that much weeds in them. also i usually use soft plastic baits like gulp alive. the occasional frog and lure.
Suggestions
also...was the reel worth buying? i've never had one before this is my first one. and it only had one spool
The Pinnacle reels have a great reputation in my area for durability and value. It's a good buy. Put some P-Line on it in fluorocarbon in 12-14 lb test since you are going to have some very hard hook sets when using the frog
