Colorado fishing...?
What is the best area to fish within an hour or 2 of denver, co? I like fishing trout, bass, walleye, etc...

Wow. You have lots of choices. I think I would hire a guide from Kirks Flyshop www.kirksflyshop.com or the Estes Angler www.estesangler.com or Rocky Mountain Adventures www.shopRMA.com to fish the streams in the Rocky Mountain Park, the upper Colorado, the North Platte or the Big Thompson.
If you want to do it yourself then I would get the following book:
Flyfisher's Guide to Colorado by Marty Bartholomew published by Wilderness Adventure Press Box 627 Gallatin Gateway, MT 59730 Tel 800-925-3339 www.wildadv.com
The book tells you where to go, where to stay and where to fish on the stream and any restrictions. Good book for the do it yourself Colorado fisherman.

I left out the part about going to Montana instead which refers to my opinion that not only does the State of Colorado manage its streams poorly but also as evidence of it they let the whirling disease get out of control in their state and infect the water of their and other states. But what can I say - because of family related issues I'll be fishing in Colorado again this summer.
