How to Rig for longer lasting soft baits?
I recently went fishing with the Berkley RealiStix Power Minnow Grub, it did produce fish but it ripped to easily after a couple of largemouth bass and i was wondering if there was a better way of rigging it so that it would last longer for me. thanks
This is what works for me- I have found that the name brand lures are too soft for my liking- they will not catch but one or two fish and have to be replaced- sometimes they go off the hook when the bait is casted-my method of dealing with this is to buy the generic lookalikes- I have found that they are almost always tougher then the name brands and cheaper also. I caught six bass today on one senko type generic lure before it came off the hook - I have found no decrease in the fish catching ability of the generics against the name brands, when it comes to the plastics- In fact I think the name brands are made soft so that you will have to buy two or three packs for each fishing trip- this increases their profits. Good luck and good fishing.
