How do I reduce the blue in blue-black hair?
I dyed my platinum blonde to a blue-black, a process I've gone through before and achieved my desired results. This time my hair turned a pretty stark blue. Sadly I work in a professional environment and blue just won't fly. How can I take it down to a more natural cool black? I'd prefer something more permanent than toners, so should I just hit it with a natural black dye? Something with a reddish tone? I don't mind it taking a more burgundy cast, but if I can achieve a natural black that would be ideal.
You should have used a natural black instead of a blue-black on hair that was extremely lightened. Just go to the drugstore and get a box that is labeled natural black. It wont have the blue tones in it.
