Do real designers in southern California use fabric from Joannes craft store?
Where can you actually find fabric that looks modern and is of good quality ? I heard, the fashion district in L.A. but is there any other company or place where you can get fabric to design clothing with?
You can use fabric from anywhere if you like it. But if you're looking for FANCY... you can go where the Project Runway folks go... there's a Mood store here in L.A.. The fabric is extremely expensive but they have major designer fabrics too. They are on Pico and Fairfax.
I recommend Downtown though. A good place to start is on Maple and 8th or 9th. Micheal Levine's is a big store, but there's lots of smaller stores too.
