Bass Fishing Tips?
I love bass fishing but I can never get the big bass I want. When I went fishing at my friends cabin there was a big tree that had fallen in the water ,but it produced 1 1.5 pounder and the rest were small. And the bait I was using was a crank bait and the fish love them there please help. Tips would be helpful and so would bait suggestions.

When fishing a snag or laydown I recommend that you have 3 rods rigged and at hand.
First work the snag topwater with a popper or chug bug. Often a top water will produce right away because the fish can predate to the surface from a safe hiding position.
Second throw a medium running crank bait or a spinner bait. Work the branches of the snag.
Last throw a jig or a Texas rigged plastic into the snag and let sink deep into the snag and work it back up through the branches.
Of course rig all the lures to be as weedless as possible.
You will find 'em and catch 'em if you thoroughly work a snag like this.
