Best bait for Albacore and other deep sea giants?
In a week from today i am going on a deep sea fishing trip off of the coast of San Diego and Mexico. We are fishing primarily for Albacore. I want to know of any suggestions any of you have for lures or any techniques that will help me reel in a giant fish. I am a rookie to Albacore but have been sea fishing multiple times before.

the boat will supply bait (sardines and anchovies) if it is a charter or open party boat. 25 or 30lb line for bait fishing with either a size 2 or 4 #9174 mustad live bait hook. forged and bronzed.
for trolling, l use a chrome head with red glass eyes japanese trolling feathers in green/yellow on a 50lb trolling outfit. these weigh about 3oz. use with a big double hook. 6/0 to 8/0. buy the hooks where you buy the feathers. the dealer will make sure you get the correct size.
all the albacore l've gotten off of SD and mexico have been between 20 and 40lb. they are not what you could really call giants but they are extremely powerful fighters.
be sure to take extra rods/reels. NO SPINNING OUTFITS.
