When i play the area RIGHT after i first see the oricale dragged off by those flying harpy things i try the save spot, it asks if iw ant to save my game i click yes and it freezes. tried 17 times and keeps doing it. if i proceed without saving the game gets stuck on loading which isnt freezing because the loading text animation is still running and i let it load for 5 hours before coming back to it and it was still loading. its a new disc and my PS2 is new and has no problems, it has happened of god of war 2 and seems liek a common bug.
It seems that the problem is your disk and not your PS2. I suggest going back to the store and telling them that the disk is faulty.
If you don't have a receipt, its OK, most big stores (Best Buy) allow you to return an open game, but can only be exchanged for a SAME one.
