Fishing Dry Flies

What keeps you from catching fish?
In whatever style of fishing, whatever you're fishing for, what is it that keeps you from catching more fish? For me it's a tendency to try to set the hook too quickly when fishing dry flies. I've pulled more flies away from hungry trout than I would ever care to count. How about you?
Great answers. Sounds like the main problems are not having a boat and setting the hook to soon. Heh heh. At least you can spend your way out of one of those problems. Even heard from Fisher_King. Too many good comments to pick a best answer -- I'll leave it up to the vote...
a few things are the most "lack of producers" the smell of anything foreign on baits, like: smoke, floral hand cream, perfume or cologne, gas or fuel, rubber and hot spices. Fishing with the baits tied on or threaded upside down, fouled baits (snagged hooks above the tie on on the main line) or fishing the wrong direction will keep fish from biting. Lastly is the if you can see them rule "they can see you". I frequently wash my hands and the no ad suntan lotion in the blue container is non scented and I (while using it numerous times a day) still out catch the others on the boats.
