in medieval times?
can you thing of any gruesome tortures in medieval times/dark ages?, there was hundreds
like
i found these
pull 2 trees together with rope and tie them with rope, tie a man by his ankles to the 2 trees, and then cut the rope, and as they fly apart it rips 1 or 2 legs off.
another 1
tie a man by his ankles fom a tree with his hands tied behind his back, so hes hanging upside down, and 2 or 3 men hit him on the head with hammers.
or what about
being pressed by weights
or the iron bath?
which was like being boiled alive
worst one i found was
tying a man to a big round wheel/cylinder, then rolling it down an big steep hill and over a cliff face.
not to mention burning at the stake, or being roasted alive.
how did they come up with these torture tequniques?
like gauging peoples eyes out,
being tied up and letting animals or even insects eat people alive.
can you think of any others?
The Iron Maiden (literally embraced onto spikes inside an iron coffin), Torture by the Boots (two iron boots placed on the legs and the wooden staves knocked in to break the legs and flesh), Breaking on the wheel (spread on the wheel and then with a large plank of wood you have your bones broken one by one), Caged to death (Suspended aloft in an iron cage and left to starve to death), bricked into a building (make a small area or room with no windows and then brick the person up), buried alive (normally in quicklime which is a type of acidic soil which will break the flesh of the body and dissolve it quickly), impaled on a spit (Literally get a big trunk of wood, shave one end to a point and then jam a person onto it crotch first, like vlad the impaler), death by red hot poker (have a red hot iron poker stuck into your bottom), stocked and stoned (many nasty people where shoved into stocks and the general populace where allowed to throw whatever they liked at you), Hung Drawn and Quatered (hung until almost dead then drawn down to the table and opened by butchers knife, privates chopped off, heart cut out and intestines drawn out whilst still alive), death by tide (place manacled to river bed at low tide, allow tide to slowly cover person, slow drowning), each gruesome in some way some quicker than others, but each resulting in death normally.
