danica dan vise? yes, no, maybe so?
so i want a rotary vise but still want to be able to afford fly tying materials but ive looked at the danvise and i am getting mixed feelings about it... i get a lot of good reviews and a lot of bad ones...so what is your actual take on it...and is it very strong? im still a little iffy on the whole delrin resin stuff that most of it is made out of
thanks plead ive been looking at griffin and if i do go griffin im going to end up paying 140 just cause i really like the blackfoot mongoose vise

You have been thinking about this for a long while now! i realize that you don't want to waste your money but only YOU can decide if its the vise for you. The Dan Vise is a good little vise for the price, its not just going to snap. Buy it from a company such as Cabelas if you don't like it or it breaks return it and get a full money refund-simple as that.
Your either going to get one and love it or hate it, however if you don't like it return it as i have already said, im sure Cabelas would let you return it and maybe even allow you to select another of the same price if you don't like it.
But one things for certain, if you buy the vise get some materials and give it a try-enjoy your fly tying only then will you be able to see if you like it. You will always get bad reviews about some products mainly because the reviewer has had a bad experience with it, even the bet of gear breaks-i have only just snapped my Sage TCR fly rod, which i paid $580 for two years ago, so paying the biggest amount you can doesn't always mean the best gear.
