Fur Northern Deer
Help identafing mysterious animal!?
Ok heres the deal everyone sees it no one knows what it is. this is the best despion i can give.
its about the size of a fawn(baby deer)
it has no tail
its ears are on top of its head pointed
is very leggy more
I live in northern MN. everyones first thought is a fox but it has no tail and it seems small for that to small for a coyote too. any ideas? It has fur too. tho its hard to tell whats fur and whats body. Dont know the color either since it stays in the shadowy area. Everyone in town knows about it. we all see it when were driving. the other night it was standing right on the side of the road looking at the cars. other times its walkiing along side of road.
thats the thing! it stays in the shadows so you cant! there is no way a photo would turn out>,> its not like we know when its gonna appear and can wait for it.
I live in a very rural area in Tennessee and spend a lot of time outside and in the woods. It sounds a lot like a bobcat but there is also a good chance that it could be a domestic dog. It shouldn't cause much of a problem unless you have cats or small dogs that are kept outside at night. If so then watch out because these may be seen as prey items. If it is a bobcat and it does become a problem then a live trap may be useful.
