Real baits(live or dead) vs Artificial bait?
i had been fishing for 5 days in a row now, and all i caught is panfish, with read baits like hot dog (my breakfast, lol). i never, however, caught a single fish with the artificial baits, like 5 in black/red worm, white, black spinnerbaits, green buzzbaits, small white worm/fish whatever it is and small green fish. im really getting piss now because i tried everything and they don't work. tomorrow i will tried to use the hot dog or shrimp to fish at the local lake. if all else fail, i will break my rod and jump in the lake to catch the bass with my bare hands!!
tell u why im so piss off. i fished for 4 hours this morning, from 6 to 10, and no fish even touch my baits, they didn't even try! !%#@!$#%!^
sry. so tell me your opinion about real baits vs artifical bait. and if you want to, u can tell me what i did wrong, so i can correct them.
TY@!
The thing to do is find someone at your lake who IS catching fish, and ask them (or copy what they're doing). Or ask someone at a tackle shop nearby -- they generally give good advice because they want you to come back and buy stuff.
With artificials, there are several things to worry about: the type of lure, how it's rigged, how heavy your line is, where you cast it, how long you let it sink, how fast you retrieve it.
Artificials have to get the fish's attention and either look like something edible so the fish tries to eat it, or piss it off so the fish attacks it. So you have to get the lure in front of the fish and work it right.
On the other hand, if all the "natural" bait you have is hot dogs, you're not likely to catch much more than panfish. Try nightcrawlers or minnows for bass.
