Trolling or casting reel?
Do you think this reel would be a good casting reel or more of a trolling reel? i failed to find any reviews on how well it casts so tell me what you think. here's the link- http://www.basspro.com/Offshore-Angler-Ocean-Master-Lever-Drag-Reels/product/10204462/-1646115
the reel is called - Ocean Master oml-15c.
that reel appears to be built along the lines of a casting reel but having a line recommendation of 25 - 30lb test, it sure won't fly-line an anchovy or pinfish very well. also looks to be a little heavy for surf fishing unless you are using a very stout rod and 6 or 8oz of weight. it would probably throw heavier jigs quite well.
or use it as a light trolling reel.
l think everyone else might be right.
