Would it be better to get a light or medium light fishing rod?
I fish for bass
It would be spin casting
able to get the lure out far
i do shore fishing
Bass between 1-3 lb
Able to get small crankbaits out there in the water FAR
If you need distance on small cranks, I would go with a Medium Light
4-10 lb rating and 7 foot long. The length will give you more whip to cast lures farther, and just in case of the HOG, it will have plenty of backbone to handle anything up 15-20 lbs if you use your skill. I usually used no more than 8 lb test because it will cast better than ten and up.
