is this fly rod and reel combo good?
I'm looking to get this rod and reel combo. It's called the scientific Angler rod and reel combo for panfish and I'm wondering if this would be a good beginner for trout that are about 12-16 inches long. Here's the link.

Also, i need to know if i need and extra line, backing, leader and what kind of flies.(I think dry for beginner?)
does anyone think i could catch decent size trout with this
That's a perfect kit for starting out. I bought a kit very similar to this years ago and still use it to this day occasionally. As for needing extra line and what not, no it doesn't seem to be neccesary being that the kit includes everything you need to get started. The only problem may be the durability and quality of the materials it comes with. They probably aren't of very good quality but they will be enough to get you going for a while. I'd suggest after you get used to the setup go out and buy you some decent brand leaders, backing, and line. Just match your weights and sizes up accordingly to what fish you will be primarily trageting.
Edit: Yes you could get a decent sized Trout in no problem more than likely. You may have to switch to a little stronger material than you'd be using for the Bluegills but yes you could get a nice one in. I've pulled in 10 pound Catfish on an ultralight setup with 4 pound line lol, anything is possible.
