Is it worth it to try and fish a deep moving river this time of year (Northern NJ)?
If so what should I use? It is the Delaware River (freshwater part) with Walleye, Sm/Lm Bass, Rainbow/Brook/Brown Trout, Perch, an occasional Pike, and other game fish. Is it worth a shot to fish this and if so what lures/bait should I use?
it's definitely worth it. on popular bodies of water, this is about the only time of year that they don't see so much fishing pressure. I would go with a carolina rigged plastic worm with, a bit heavier than usual egg sinker to help compensate for the current. if there are smallmouths, concentrate on where the current, is fastest as, smallmouths love fast moving water. for the other species, work on bank sides and, eddys.
