Does anyone know what permits ill need?This will be in muskoka, ontario.I would like to use either a river or stream to fill it.I would like it to be about 3-4 acres.how expensive would it be to dig it, get permits, stock minnows, crayfish, leeches,bluegill, pumpkinseed, black bullhead, yellow perch, smallmouth and largemouth bass, northern pike, walleye and channel catfish?This will take 4, 5 or 6 years.Is their anything I left out or problems?Thank you.

This is a real hard question to answer. Some land has 3 sides on it and all you will need to build is a dam. some are flat where you will have to dig a hole. and the size of the fish you buy determine the cost of the fish. As for tapping in to a river or stream depends if it is a year round or seasonal fed, and then if depends on your runoff from your lake. A lake of this size will need more then permits and a drawing but also engineering studies must be made as well as environmental issues.
