Rod Baitcast Reel

Is the new Quantum Catalyst baitcast reel.....?
...a good reel to use with an E21 Carrot stick? I currently have a Daiwa Procaster PT100 combo from the bass pro shop I bought a year ago, but I want to upgrade. Like I said I bought an E21 Carrot stick rod and when I went to the bass pro shop today, I was impressed by the Quantum reels. So, my question is do think the Catalyst baitcast reel would be a good choice with the E21 Carrot stick? Also, if anyone knows, I prefer braid line when I use a baitcast reel, but I always see the line cap for mono, but never braid. Does anyone know what braid line cap equivalent would be for a mono 12/135( lbs/yds)?
The Quantum Catalyst PT is fine choice for the carrot stick. It is a new addition to the quantum line up this year and to make it even better is that it has the same frame as all the other pt's. It is very smooth...So i would pair up with your carrot stick.
For the line conversion: this is for power pro, the only braided line I use.
Pound Test Conversion
10 lb. test = 2 lb. Monofilament Diameter
15 lb. test = 4 lb. Monofilament Diameter
20 lb. test = 6 lb. Monofilament Diameter
30 lb. test = 8 lb. Monofilament Diameter
40 lb. test = 10 lb. Monofilament Diameter
50 lb. test = 12 lb. Monofilament Diameter
65 lb. test = 16 lb. Monofilament Diameter
80 lb. test = 18 lb. Monofilament Diameter
100 lb. test = 20 lb. Monofilament Diameter
So, it would look like you can hold 50lb test @135 yds. Minus of course the backer. So, if you where to do the math 12lb braid would be double that. This of course, assuming that you put a few feet of a mono backer on the reel before spooling the braided line
