stocking a 20 gallon saltwater tank?
I have a 20 gallon saltwater tank thats cured and is currently stocked with 1 clownfish, 5 turban snails, 10 mixed blue and red hermit crabs, and a skunk cleaner shrimp. I am planning on getting a 6 line wrasse as well but would like 1 last fish to put in the tank. I want something that has great color stays small and is a little different from my previous to choices. Please help me decide. I was thinking about a yellow clown goby and a green chromis. The only thing is i want something that pops in the tank. Also what is the best anemone for my tank considering i have a clownfish
Clown goby, royal gramma, some pseudochromis, and firefish are some inexpensive, nice choices. As far as angels, you MIGHT be able to pull off a pygmy angel/cherub angel. I don't like to recommend damsels for this kind of tank, as they really should be kept in a group. If you insist on a damsel, perhaps try a single Talbot's damsel.
As far as an anemone, what kind of lighting do you have? And an anemone will outgrow a 20 gallon anyway. Clowns do not require them to do well, or even breed, and if your clowns are tank raised, they may never host an anemone anyway. But in any case, to give you any real suggestion on a species, I need to know the species of your clownfish, as certain species of each will only host certain species of the other.
