How do I set up a sea fishing rod with feathers?
Hi There, I imagine you just tie the feather line to your original reel line and add a weight to the bottom and cast and reel in? Is this right?
Also is there any feathers that work better than others?

Thread the line through the rings of the rod , now tie on a link swivel , clip your feathers to this , on the other end of the feathers attach another link swivel , to this you add your weight .
The idea of using link swivels is that you can change from one set of feathers to another if you need/want to and or change weight if you want to add or take from what you have on.
Don't just reel in try to impart some extra action into the feathers as uou would any kind of lure.
Sabiki are good if you can get them , or the smallest of shrimp type often used for catching Launce, available on most sites.Other than that good old fashioned feathers ( small size ) cut the set down into 3's it's easier to cast.
