Should I reel in with my left or right hand?
I just bought an Ugly Stik yesterday. I have been using one of those push button reels for a while and kind of forget how to use a conventional reel. The Ugly Stik came stock to reel with the left hand, but I'm rightie so i figured I should switch it to the right. But it feels wierd for some reason.
Also, what is the little eye on my rod used for and how do I set the line up through it properly.
if you are right handed, reel a spinning reel with your left, holding the rod in your right. the same way shakespeare delivered it to you. that is how they were designed to be used back in the forties. in no time at all, that will feel "right" to you.
