Which fishing rod and reel is suitable for sea fishing AND freshwater fishing?
Hi, I am new to fishing and I have a terrible rod and reel. I basically want to know if there is a reliable but cheap rod (with a good cast) that can be used for coarse fishing... Also, can it be used for sea fishing too? that would be kool as I don't have too much cash right now.
I want the rod mainly for spinning and float fishing.

i have several and have never had one problem with them. very smooth drag and easy casting. they are approved for use in saltwater from the manufacturer. i have taken salmon, steelhead, rock cod, and halibut (one halibut was 134 pounds).
rods. i am partial to G Loomis. pricey but worth every penny.
