6 wt fly rod ? Any help would be great?
What kind of fish is a 6 wt fly rod good for ? I have a 4 and 5wt fly rods for trout , but I want to start catching bigger fish . I have a 6wt fly rod laying around , but I dont what kind of fish to use it for ?..

Trout, smallmouth bass, smaller largemouths.
You won't notice much difference between the 5 and 6 weights. Just a little more power to help turn over a bulky fly, being able to punch it a little further into the wind, a touch more backbone. That's about it.
