Tying Fur Northern

I am going to wear some charcoal gray slacks. They are very dressy & straight to very slightly flared at the bottom.
I'm wearing a charcoal colored mock turtle neck with charcoal colored beading on the collar. Over that, I am wearing a black sweater with fur trim on the collar. It has a sparkly zipper - very sparkley. I am wearing black shoes (mid height heel as I am already tall.) The shoes have a little bit of silver sparkle on the toe.
I am in the South (Atlanta) so we aren't quite as formal as say New York or other Northern cities.
Do you think this is ok - or do I HAVE to wear a dress???
I HATE being cold & I look better in trousers.
By the way - this isn't black tie - the men are wearing suits or sport coats with ties.
