Tying Hair Saltwater

Am I allowed to go swimming or tie my hair up after a Japanese straight perm?
I got a Japanese straight perm yesterday. I was wondering if after the 3 days of not washing your hair you can tie it up or go swimming. She told me putting it up a lot will leave a crease and you shouldn't go in chlorine or saltwater very much at all. She said try to avoid it at all costs. Is this true? It seems like everyone on the internet says after 2 weeks, you can do whatever you want with your hair. Thanks!

for one yes its true. picking up your hair or putting your har behind your ears will leave a mark on the hair and the pool/beach isnt good for your hair in general. i got it done and wouldnt recommend going to the pool until a week.
