We have a Sailfish 236CC. We are finally moving back to the east coast after 4 years near Seattle. We haven't used the boat much while in the PacNW. We use it alot in the southeast. We do a little bit of everything - in shore (red drum, trout, etc), off shore (dolphin, wahoo, tuna, etc), shrimping - you get the idea. I want to surpise my husband with some new electronics for the boat for Christmas. The electronics in it are basic models from 5-6 years ago. He currently has Garmin and Lowrance. Any ideas guys? Our fishfinder acts up alot and it drives him crazy. I want a good one! And obviously, a good GPS unit...thanks for your help! 
I don't know what your budget is but Garmin has some good units that are all-n-ones. I use Raymarine on all three of my boats all are very high quality and work very well. You should be able to find things within your budget. Go to the link below and see. I use them a lot.
