Walleye Lure Catfish

Walleye Lure Catfish
bass fishing advise needed?

complete newb here. ready to order rod and reel, what is the difference between Baitcaste, Spincaster, and Spinning rods?

i'm buying at the basspro.com but i am a total noob thus, totally confused. and what bait(s) should i use for 5-10 lbs. bass, catfish and walleye? i can only use artificial lures and baits.( yep, i can't handle worms-flame away)

I use an Open Face reel with a open face rod. Both are considered as "Ultra-lite". I use 6 lb. test line. I like this rig because I fish in local streams which are small in size. I like the feel of the smaller set up. The smaller, lighter line does not need extra weight to cast a good distance. This leaves the line free of extra hardware that the fish might see.
Last year I used a plastic crawdad that I got at Wal-Mart. They are a dark red color and have salt added. I did very well with them. Crawdads are the preferred food of Bass. I have used worms in the past but like the plastic better. They cost more to buy but worms only last a day if you are lucky.
