Worms Berkley Scented

Any good tips for......?

Fishing for smallmouth bass and rainbow trout with "Berkley 400x more scent "Gulp" worms" on a silver hook with no bobber (I can put one on if theres any good tips...) and if there is no good tips for using a bobber, i'm using 2 1/2 oz. weights on a barrel swivvel. (and i'm fishing in a lake with a rocky outcrop.)

you know what I think? I think that traditionally bass and trout don't eat the same things, however with the invent of all these scented baits impregnated with some sort of nasty stink... fish seem to desire them yet I still can not believe one bait will catch both smallies and trout. first off the lake has to be under 68 degrees in temperature for trout to be alive in it and small mouth bass are a really tough road to hoe fishing from the shoreline. largemouth are way more sideline oriented and especially hold the drop offs all around all rocky points I simply have no suggestions about what bait you want to use and for what. but if you heard anything today hear this, use a crawdad colored big curley tail; worm and use a 3 ought worm hook (mustad the blue one) and a one eighth ounce sliding sinker pin it with a toothpick above the hook (so it wont slide) about fifteen inches and walk that point casting ahead of where you walk no more than ten feet out into the water while never walking up to within fifteen feet of shore. go all the way aropund and then go around again casting no more than fifteen feet from shore until you are standing at the shore line casting out as far as you can. then put on that 400x and give it a whack
